Cool Wraps for Soldiers

On April 8th, 2017, join the E-Stitchers for a fun filled workshop making Cool Wraps for soldiers.  This is an example of what a cool wrap is.

COOLWRAP

For who?  E-stitchers members and non-members are welcomed!  This will be a donation showing our support for the troops

Where?  The Rec Hall

When?  Saturday April 8th, 2017 from 9 a.m. to noonish.

Why?  To learn a new craft, and to assist in sewing for charity!

How Much?  Free

Materials required?  Bring your sewing machine, seam ripper, scissors, thread, and a pencil.

What?  A cool wrap is a device made of cotton that miraculously holds water as pictured above.  You refrigerate before use and drape it around the neck.  It can keep your body temperature feel cooler during hot tasks like mowing the lawn in the Hot Texas Summer!  These cool wraps sell for $20 at Canton.

Additional Details:  One make and take is available to all E-Stitcher members free of charge.  Non-members will be able to make for donation only.  If non-members want to make one to keep, a fee of $10 does apply to fund the cost of materials.  Members and non-members can sew as many of these cool wraps as they wish for donation to help support the troops.

For anyone that would like to donate their time to assist with this effort, we are always in need of volunteers for cutting, pressing, stuffing and making!
